Thank God You’re Mine

My wife and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary on August 13th.  I recently heard a  line from the song Never My Love by the Associations which says, "Have I told you how happy I am that your mine?" Such a simple phrase with a very powerful message. Melanie and I have been around every dangerous curve in the road of life and thankfully God has been our constant beam of Light which has kept us on the road. Although Melanie is the love of my life and my best friend there have been times where we did not like each other very much. The enemy has used our weaknesses to try and drive a wedge between us many time. However, Melanie and I began our marriage with the belief that no matter what, divorce was never an option. You would be amazed how that belief and commitment to each other can bring sanity back to some really stupid situations. I would love to tell you that we have never gone to bed mad, but that just isn't the case. But, I will tell you that we have never met the morning with that anger still inside of us. Why? It’s a Small World, After All!

My brother's favorite ride at Disneyland was "It's a Small World" and I really never understood why. The ride is one of the oldest and maybe the most boring rides known to man.
